Behind The Release:

“Canopy was written during the 2024 as a result of the 2024 Presidential Election Campaign.

During the campaign season, right-wing conservatives spent more money attacking transgender Americans than they did on any other campaign issue. I found it nearly impossible to avoid the nearly constant barrage of attack ads, and found myself in a state of severe emotional dysregulation.

I was angry, scared, I hated everything and everyone around me, so I took that energy and put it into music, and ‘Canopy’ came out of that.”
